Measuring Water Flow

There are a number of ways that the flow rate of water through a system can be measured. The majority of the methods rely on the measurement of differential pressure across a device with a known flow rate-to-resistance ratio, commonly known as a Kv factor.

This Skills Workshop discusses the main ways water flow is measured during testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of hydronic systems.
